Once the project conceived by professor Núria Ricart was approved in 2018, and architect Jordi Henrich and historian Fernando Hernández got involved in the public participatory process, construction of the planned monument got underway in March of the following year, with the participation of the Platform alongside several architects, building engineers, construction managers and other technicians tied to the project. A few public visits to the ongoing works were advertised for members of the public to attend.
On November 25th 2019, near the monument completion, an allegorical event took place. A sealed box was buried at the feet of the monoliths, containing numerous original documents that outlined the civic recovery process leading to the construction of the monument and paid tribute to the memory of those repressed women.
